About
About Qibla Finder
Qibla Finder is a free online Qibla finder built for Muslims in the UAE and anyone who needs the direction of the Kaaba quickly and accurately. The tool works in any browser, needs no app or account, and keeps working offline after your first visit. Alongside the tool, our guides explain how the Qibla is calculated and how to find it in homes, hotels, offices and on the road.
Why We Built This Site
Many Qibla apps hide the angle behind an arrow, ask for unnecessary permissions or lock features behind subscriptions. We wanted a tool that shows the exact angle in degrees, explains where that number comes from, and lets you check it with a map when a phone compass is unreliable. We also wanted accurate, local information for every emirate, which most Qibla websites do not provide.
How We Calculate the Qibla
Every Qibla angle on this site is calculated along the great circle, the shortest route over the Earth’s surface, from your location to the Kaaba at 21.4225° N, 39.8262° E. Compass readings are corrected for magnetic declination using the World Magnetic Model 2025, so the arrow points to the true Qibla rather than magnetic north. City and area values in our UAE guides are calculated from the centre of each area and rounded to one decimal place.
Accuracy and Testing
The calculation itself is exact, but any phone compass can be affected by metal, electronics and calibration. That is why the tool includes a map view and calibration guidance, and why we recommend checking the result against a mosque’s mihrab.
Who Runs This Site
