Location Data

The Qibla finder asks your browser for permission to use your location so it can calculate the Qibla direction. Your location is processed inside your browser to calculate the angle and is not sent to our server. The tool saves your last location and settings in your browser’s local storage so it can work offline, and you can remove them at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

Motion and Compass Sensors

On phones, the tool reads the device’s orientation sensors to turn the compass dial. This sensor data is used live in your browser only and is not stored or sent to us. You can withdraw location or motion permission at any time in your browser or phone settings.

Offline Storage

To let the tool work without internet, the site uses a service worker that saves the page and some map tiles you have viewed in your browser’s cache. This cache stays on your device and is not shared with us. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

Third Party Services

Some parts of the site load content from third parties, which may receive your IP address and basic browser information when they do. These include Google Fonts for the site’s typefaces, cdnjs for the map library, and OpenStreetMap for street map tiles when you open the street map. Each of these services is governed by its own privacy policy.

Children

This site is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through our contact email, please let us know and we will delete it.
